Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line
Three Luminaries vs Hargon
- A Robbery in Rendarak (Cave Leading to Rendarak)
- Talk to the soldier. Learn that aRestless Armour has stolen Erdrick’s equipment set and adorned itself with it. Take back the Soul Sigil, Erdrick’s Armour, and` Thunderbolt Blade, otherwise his Majesty the Prince of Midenhall can’t get them when he and his teammates come looking!
- Make your way through to cave, being careful of the pitfalls, and random encounter monsters (especially the ones with kathwack!). When you make your way to the next level, grab the chests, and then head up until it splits left and right. Go left first to gab 2 chests down the stairs, then head right. You know you’re right when you see the dragon adornment on the ground.
- In the next part, you’ll deal with lots of pitfalls. Hint: if you walk in the space right next to a hole, you won’t fall down again. Follow the creature through the next maze. I just kind of headed up and right and eventually cornered it.
- Prepare your team and then talk to the monster. It will start a fight. Defeat the Restless Armour and you’ll take back the equipment set (the game prevents you from using the stairs there).
- Evac to the soldier and he will reward you with an Uber Agate of Evolution.`
- A Cannockian Conundrum (Cannock Castle)

- After you heal the village from their nasty colds, talk to Pankraz who tells you that the prince went to Neverglade also found in the Altar of the Heavenly Bride.
- Head north 2 screens until you see the Prince of Cannock who is hopelessly lost. You transport him back with your Luminary powers.
- Return toCannock Castleand speak to the King to finally end this quest.
- You get a Tectonic Plate
- Curing the Curse of the Curse (Moonbrooke)
- All the people are dogs! Talk to the girl in the North who is the Princess of Moonbrooke. I think this one is straightforward. You just have to defeat the boss. Defeating the boss will turn everyone back to people while the princess turns back into a dog.
- Your prize: Devil’s Tail
Altar of Salvation
Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation
Hero vs Baramos, Zoma
- Bringing Back the Big Bad (Baramos’s Castle)
- The hero has jumped in after Zoma, and now the Necrogondolier is trying to revive Baramos.

- Then Evac and talk to the King who will give you a Dracolyte.
- The Big Bad is Back Anyway! (Baramos’s Castle – Later on)
- Whoops, Baramos was revived anyways.
- Go through, defeat the purple monsters if you like, and get ready to do battle with the Archfiend Baramos!
- Defeat him and complete the quest.
- Prize: Golden Claws

- When you give it to her, she tells you she’ll have it the next time you come see her. Geez.
- You have to teleport out and then back. She’ll charge you 2500 gold for some Stone Cold Cold Killer.

- A Worrying Window (Trodain Castle):
- Ishmahri beseeches you to help the heroes stuck in the Land of the Moonshadow because the sun has remained in the sky preventing night from falling.
- This is a high random-encounter-rate level with a chance to fight metal king slimes (whopper EXP!!) and has overall decent experience points making it a good place to train.
- Head to the left side of the map and follow the ramparts north.
- The east and west sides of the castle have chests with goodies. If you make your way all the way to the basem*nt via the Northwesternmost tower spiral staircase, you’ll end up in the library where you’ll pick up a book entitled, “Look, No Pants.”

Altar of the Starry Skies

- A warrior wants you to find out why everyone’s so mad at him and his maps.
- Proceed into the caves and train, train, train your team (not that you can help it, with the encounter rate). There are a few chests here and there.
- At long last, you will see a big monster with an orb in its hand. That is the Go Fygger quest.
- To finish the Mad About Maps quest, go forward until you see a King Metal Slime.
- Heal up and prepare yourself. It is, in fact, the King of King Metal Slimes and it’s no pushover. I stupidly forgot about my Metal Slime Sword.

- Reward: Sainted Soma
- Go Fygger (The Observatory):
- Talk to Aquila who wants you to go after someone who took off with a “fygg.”
- Trudge through the caves in the Ruby Path of Doom (Altar of the Starry Skies) until you see one of those 3-tailed dragons that hold an orb.
- Prepare for a relatively hard fight as it has these damage blocking moves and multi-hit attacks.
- When you defeat it, turns out it was a slime who wanted to be stronger. It regurgitates the fygg.
