1 Know your purpose
Before you start building your personal brand, you need to have a clear vision of what you want to achieve, why you do what you do, and who you want to serve. Your purpose is the foundation of your personal brand and it should guide your decisions, actions, and messages. To find your purpose, you can ask yourself questions such as: What are your passions and strengths? What problems do you want to solve? What impact do you want to make?

2 Define your niche
Once you have your purpose, you need to narrow down your target audience and niche. Your niche is the specific area or topic that you want to focus on and become known for. It should reflect your expertise, interests, and values. To define your niche, you can ask yourself questions such as: Who are your ideal clients or customers? What are their needs, challenges, and goals? How can you help them? What makes you different from others in your field?

Defining your niche involves a strategic balance between authenticity and market demand. It's about finding a sweet spot where your authenticity meets the needs of a specific audience.Your brand needs to reflect your niche. But the questions (Who are your ideal clients? What are their values?) may not perfectly line up in the business world. If that is the case, you can adapt and broaden your audience's understanding. Focus on building a community around your values and interests. The main point? Be true to yourself. By adopting a broader perspective on your niche, you can create a dynamic and sustainable brand that remains true to your authentic self while also meeting the needs of a wider audience.

3 Create your story
Your story is the way you communicate your personal brand to your audience. It should be authentic, engaging, and consistent. Your story should include your background, your journey, your achievements, your challenges, and your aspirations. It should also highlight your personality, values, and emotions. To create your story, you can ask yourself questions such as: What are the key moments or events that shaped you? What are the lessons or insights that you learned? What are the benefits or outcomes that you can offer?

The way you speak is one way to reinforce your personal brand. For example, you want to be seen as more analytical, you can incorporate numbers into your sentences like, "When I ran the numbers..." "According to the data I reviewed.." "Statistically speaking..."

6 Keep learning and improving
Your personal brand is not a static or fixed entity. It is a dynamic and evolving process that requires constant learning and improvement. You need to keep up with the changes and trends in your niche and industry, as well as your own goals and preferences. You also need to keep track of your progress and results, and adjust your strategies accordingly. To keep learning and improving, you can ask yourself questions such as: What are the new skills or knowledge that you need to acquire or enhance? What are the feedback or metrics that you need to monitor and evaluate? What are the challenges or opportunities that you need to address or embrace?

Continuous learning and improvement are a necessity for long-term success and relevance in any industry. The first premise of continuous learning is to reflect on your core values and beliefs. Your brand takes a stance on something. You need to question the underlying reasons behind your stance. You need to be able to express what and why you believe in your brand. That means you need to understand your vision. To understand your vision --> learn and improve. But that's not all. You need to keep up with your brand. Identify emerging trends in the industry to adjust your personal brand to reflect the current landscape. Stay connected with your network, and cultivate a mindset that views learning and development as ongoing processes.

Personal branding has to be a USP. Visual resonance to your name. Yes, Looks matter. While you know what you want, who are your customer, your business proposition or your presentation etc, All will be correlated to your sense of dressing for the cause from day one and staying consistent with your image.Choose carefully how people will remember you by the way you look. Your need to have your personal style. Colours play around,Make up, hair style n colour, dressing sense, choice of colours codes in dress line.Other things like accessories ,way of talking and a signature start and end to every presentation gives you an edge too
